Journals

Since patients often come to us from anonymous lives with very few possessions, we assume much of their early troubles and addictions to be truthful and not fabricated. We also do not have an interest in digging up the history of all of our clients, since we believe the telling of lies to be a healthy part of the healing process. Eventually, every client tells the truth, and creates their own path to mental health.

The discovery and diagnosis of Amy’s condition came merely days before she was found dead in her room, having hung herself with a pair of trousers and a bed sheet. Unfortunately, she never had the opportunity to walk the aforementioned path laid out by her supervisor's expert coaching. She was not believed to be unstable, and therefore little precaution was taken to prevent her suicide.

We have included the trousers with this package as you may have use for them, sentimental or otherwise, and Amy's journals that were found in her room on April 16th, 1972; the day of her suicide, and one month after she came to us with a dismantled leather sex sling fastened to her generously fed thighs and dragging behind her like dehydrated afterbirth.

We trust that you will find comfort in our efforts to contact you, and thank you in advance for your tactful manner in discussing her passing. Of course, we are sorry for your loss, and will keep the body in our locker until you can afford the trip North.
